How additional revenue works

How additional revenue works

Additional revenue represents the value generated by ConvertX through its conversion modules.

It helps you understand how much extra money ConvertX brings to your store, beyond a standard product purchase.

What counts as additional revenue

ConvertX tracks additional revenue generated by the following modules:

  • Bundles
  • Upsells
  • Sticky Add to Cart
  • Stories (influenced sales)

Each module follows a specific attribution logic, explained below.

Bundles & Upsells revenue attribution

For Bundles and Upsells, ConvertX calculates additional revenue by comparing:

  • The regular price of products sold individually

    vs
  • The ConvertX offer price applied through the module

Example

  • Product price: $20
  • Bundle offer: Buy 2 for $35

Without ConvertX

  • 2 products × $20 = $40

With ConvertX

  • Bundle price = $35

➡️ $35 is attributed to ConvertX as generated revenue

ConvertX attributes the full value of the bundle or upsell sale, not only the discount difference.

Sticky Add to Cart revenue attribution

The Sticky Add to Cart increases conversions by keeping the purchase button visible.

When a purchase is completed after interacting with the Sticky Add to Cart, the sale is attributed as ConvertX-generated revenue.

Sticky Add to Cart does not change product pricing, but improves conversion rate by reducing friction.

Stories influenced revenue

Stories work differently from direct purchase modules.

ConvertX tracks influenced revenue when:

  • A customer views a ConvertX Story
  • Then purchases the associated product
  • Within the attribution window

In this case:

  • The sale is counted as additional revenue influenced by ConvertX
  • Even if no bundle or upsell was used

Stories are powerful for social proof and trust, even without direct discounts.

What is not counted

The following cases are not counted as additional revenue:

  • Sales not involving any ConvertX module
  • Purchases made without interaction with bundles, upsells, sticky ATC, or stories
  • Orders outside the attribution window

Why additional revenue is used for plans

ConvertX uses additional revenue instead of page views or impressions because:

  • It reflects real business impact
  • It aligns pricing with merchant success
  • You only upgrade when ConvertX actually helps you sell more

If ConvertX generates more revenue, it unlocks higher plan limits.

Important notes

Additional revenue is an estimation based on interaction and attribution logic.

It is designed to be fair, transparent, and store-friendly.

It does not affect:

  • Your Shopify reports
  • Your payouts
  • Your accounting

It is used only inside ConvertX to manage plan limits.
