Installing ConvertX on your Shopify store takes less than 2 minutes and requires no technical knowledge.

This guide walks you step by step through the full installation and initial setup.

Step 1: Install ConvertX from the Shopify App Store

To get started, install ConvertX directly from the Shopify App Store.

Open the Shopify App Store
Go to the Shopify App Store and search for ConvertX.

Click "Install"
Click the Install button and approve the required permissions.

Access the dashboard
Once installed, you are redirected to the ConvertX dashboard inside your Shopify admin.

When you open ConvertX for the first time, you will see a short onboarding flow.

This onboarding helps ConvertX understand how you want to use the app and prevents forced subscription decisions.

You can choose a plan later and explore the app without pressure.

During onboarding, you can:

ConvertX uses a Shopify App Embed to inject its modules safely into your theme.

Without this step, modules will not appear on your store.

Activating the App Embed is mandatory for ConvertX to work.

Open the Theme Editor
In Shopify Admin, go to
Online Store → Themes → Customize

Open App Embeds
In the theme editor sidebar, click App Embeds.

Enable ConvertX
Toggle ConvertX App Embed to ON.

Save changes
Click Save in the theme editor.

Once the App Embed is enabled, ConvertX is fully connected to your store.

You can verify the installation by:

If the preview works, ConvertX is correctly installed.

Make sure that:

App Embeds are theme specific.
If you change your theme, you must re-enable the ConvertX App Embed in the new theme.

Ensure your theme supports Shopify App Embeds.
All modern Online Store 2.0 themes are compatible.

Now that ConvertX is installed and connected, you can start creating conversion modules.
