Create & Activate your first module
ConvertX works with three types of elements, all accessible from the dashboard homepage:
- Modules
- Sections
- Widgets
Each type has a slightly different activation flow, but all of them are designed to stay simple and safe.
You always start from the ConvertX dashboard.
No code and no theme file editing required.
Dashboard overview
On the ConvertX home page, you will see three main areas:
- Modules
Conversion features like bundles, upsells, sticky add to cart, trust badges - Sections
Full Shopify sections that integrate directly into your theme - Widgets
Lightweight elements you can place anywhere using app blocks
Create your first module
Modules are the most common way to use ConvertX.
Open the Modules section
From the ConvertX dashboard, go to Modules.
Click "Add module"
Choose the module you want to create.
Customize the module
You are redirected to the customization page where you can:
- Configure content
- Adjust design
- Set targeting rules
- Preview the module live
Publish the module
Once ready, click Publish to make the module available on your store.
Publishing a module does not automatically place it on your page.
You still control where it appears.
Add a module to your theme
After publishing a module, you must place it manually in your theme.
Click "Add to theme"
From the module page, click Add to theme.
Open the Theme Editor
You are redirected to the Shopify theme editor.
Add the App Block
On your product page:
- Click Add block
- Select the ConvertX App Block
Place it at the right position
Move the block where you want it to appear on the product page.
Save your changes
Click Save to apply the placement.
If the App Block is not placed, the module will not appear even if it is published.
Add a ConvertX section
Sections work differently from modules.
Open the Sections area
From the ConvertX dashboard, go to Sections.
Click "Add section"
A popup opens.
Select the theme
Choose the theme where you want to add the section.
Confirm
The section is added to the selected theme.
Once added, the section becomes available directly inside your theme editor.
You can now:
- Open the Shopify theme editor
- Add the section like any native Shopify section
- Place it where you want
Add a ConvertX widget
Widgets are lightweight and flexible.
Open the Widgets area
From the ConvertX dashboard, go to Widgets.
Click "Unlock"
A popup opens to unlock the widget.
Confirm unlock
Once unlocked, the widget becomes available.
Add the App Block
In the Shopify theme editor:
- Add the ConvertX App Block
- Place it anywhere you want
Widgets use the same App Block system and can be placed on any compatible page.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Adding the App Block but forgetting to save the theme
- Adding a section to the wrong theme
- Switching themes without re-adding elements
