Metrics and attribution

ConvertX uses several analytics metrics to explain how modules contribute to shopper behavior and revenue.

Core metrics

Common metrics include:

  • Views

  • Interactions

  • Add to cart

  • Orders with additional revenue

  • Additional revenue

  • Influenced revenue

Additional revenue vs influenced revenue

Additional revenue is revenue that ConvertX attributes to incremental value created by a feature, such as:

  • Bundles

  • Upsells

  • Cart Drawer recommended products

  • Cart Drawer shipping protection

Influenced revenue is revenue attributed to influence on the purchase journey rather than a directly added upsell line, such as:

  • Stories

  • Sticky Add to Cart

For the detailed attribution model, see How ConvertX revenue works.

Cart Drawer versus other module metrics

Cart Drawer includes its own metrics for:

  • Checkout progression

  • Recommended upsell acceptance

  • Shipping protection activation

  • Drawer-specific additional revenue

Read the dedicated guide here: Cart Drawer analytics.

Best practices

  • Read each metric in the context of its module

  • Do not compare influenced revenue and additional revenue as if they were the same signal

  • Track changes after configuration or placement edits
