Module not showing on the storefront
If a ConvertX feature does not appear on your Shopify storefront, the issue usually comes from one of four areas: App Embed, publish status, placement, or targeting.
This checklist applies to modules, widgets, and Cart Drawer.
Quick checklist
- The ConvertX App Embed is enabled in the active theme
- The feature is published or unlocked in ConvertX
- The feature is placed in the Theme Editor if it requires an App Block
- The correct Shopify theme is being previewed
- The current product matches the feature targeting rules
Most common causes
The App Embed is disabled
Sticky Add to Cart and Cart Drawer require the ConvertX App Embed directly. Other features also rely on it for shared storefront logic.
If the App Embed is off, ConvertX storefront behavior can fail even if the feature is correctly configured.
The feature is not published
If the feature is still saved as a draft, it will not display live.
The App Block is missing
Modules like Bundles, Upsells, Stories, Payment Icons, and most widgets need a Shopify App Block in the product template.
The product is not targeted
If the module is limited to specific products, collections, devices, languages, or markets, it may be working correctly but hidden on the page you are testing.
Feature-specific checks
Bundles, Upsells, Stories, Payment Icons, and widgets
- Confirm the product page App Block is present
- Confirm the block was saved in the current theme
- Confirm the feature is active in ConvertX
Sticky Add to Cart
- Confirm the App Embed is enabled
- Confirm you are on a product page
- Confirm desktop or mobile display settings match the current device
Cart Drawer
- Confirm the App Embed is enabled
- Confirm Cart Drawer is enabled in ConvertX
- Confirm the theme has cart triggers or cart links that shoppers can open
Troubleshooting FAQ
The app preview only confirms the configuration. The storefront still depends on the live theme, App Embed, App Block placement, and targeting rules.
ConvertX setup is theme-specific. Re-enable the App Embed and re-check App Blocks or sections in the second theme.
Review device targeting and device-specific visibility settings. Some features let you enable desktop and mobile separately.
Best practices
- Test with one active change at a time
- Verify on a real product page, not only in preview mode
- Re-check the active theme before troubleshooting deeper
