Add widgets to a product page
ConvertX Widgets are lightweight product-page elements such as reassurance content, badges, stock messaging, and delivery messaging. Inside the app, these widgets may also be referred to internally as snippets.
Most widgets are placed with a Shopify App Block in the product template.
Before you start
Make sure that:
- The ConvertX App Embed is enabled
- The widget is unlocked or active in ConvertX
- You are editing the correct Shopify theme and product template
Add a widget in Shopify
Open the widget in ConvertX
Choose the widget you want to use from the dashboard.
Unlock or enable it
Make the widget available for storefront use.
Open the Shopify Theme Editor
Go to the product template where the widget should appear.
Add the matching ConvertX App Block
Select the widget block in the product section and place it in the right area.
Save the theme
Confirm the result on a live product page.
Common widget placements
- Above the Add to Cart button
- Below the Add to Cart button
- Near shipping, payment, or trust information
- Inside the main product information column
Widgets work best when they answer a real objection, such as trust, stock, shipping speed, or product benefits.
Troubleshooting
Check the App Embed, confirm the App Block was added to the product template, and save the theme after placement.
Verify you are previewing the same theme and template where the App Block was added.
Use fewer widgets and keep the ones that answer the strongest buying objections.
Best practices
- Use only the widgets that support the product's main selling points
- Keep the buying area readable
- Test widget placement on mobile and desktop
