Active applications and limits

In ConvertX, plan limits are based on active application types. This is one of the most important billing and setup concepts in the app.

What is an active application type

An active application type is an active module family such as:

  • Bundle
  • Stories
  • Upsell
  • Payment Icons
  • Sticky Add to Cart
  • Cart Drawer

ConvertX counts the number of active module types, not the number of individual records.

Example

If your store has:

  • 3 active upsells
  • 1 active bundle
  • 1 active sticky add to cart

Your active application count is 3, not 5.

What does not count the same way

In the current ConvertX application limit logic:

  • Widgets are not counted as active application types
  • Sections are controlled by plan access, not by the active application counter

What happens when module limits are exceeded

When the active application limit is exceeded, ConvertX can block activation of a new application type unless one of the currently active types is disabled first.

What happens when revenue limits are exceeded

ConvertX also tracks monthly additional revenue by plan.

If the store exceeds the monthly additional revenue limit:

  • The app can enter a revenue-exceeded state
  • A grace period is scheduled
  • If the limit is still exceeded after that window, active application types can be disabled

The current limit enforcement logic uses a 7-day delay before disabling active application types after revenue overage.

Best practices

  • Keep only the active application types that materially improve your funnel
  • Review limits before activating another large module family
  • Watch your additional revenue in analytics so plan enforcement is predictable
