Stock Indicator widget
The Stock Indicator widget displays inventory or urgency messaging on the product page. It can use either automatic Shopify inventory data or a manual custom message.
Where it appears
Stock Indicator appears inside the Shopify product template through a ConvertX App Block.
This widget requires the ConvertX App Embed and a product page App Block.
How it works
The widget supports two modes:
- Automatic: uses Shopify inventory conditions
- Manual: shows a custom message you control
Automatic mode can display different messages for:
- In stock
- Low stock
- Out of stock
Setup
Add the Stock Indicator App Block to the product template and configure:
- Automatic or manual mode
- Low stock threshold
- Message text
- Font size and typography
- Margins
Automatic mode depends on Shopify inventory management being active for the current variant.
Troubleshooting
Check that Shopify inventory management is enabled for the active variant and that the widget is placed in the correct product template.
Raise the low stock threshold carefully or switch to a calmer manual message.
Best practices
- Use urgency honestly
- Keep the low stock threshold realistic
- Place the widget close to price or Add to Cart when it supports the purchase decision
